ABC Supply Acquires South Texas Distributor

ABC Supply adds a specialized Texas distributor

ABC Supply Co., Inc. has acquired the assets of Martini Brick Sales, Inc., a Corpus Christi, Texas-based distributor focused on exterior masonry cladding products. The deal was announced Aug. 24, 2026, and covers Martini Brick Sales’ location at 3749 Apollo Road in Corpus Christi. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

For distributors tracking regional M&A, the transaction is notable because it brings a long-established local specialist into one of North America’s largest wholesale distribution platforms. ABC Supply said Martini Brick Sales has operated independently since 1957 and has built its reputation around service, expertise, and long-tenured management and associates. The acquired business distributes brick, block, stone, milled stone, faux stone, cast stone, anchorage and drainage products, angle iron, and fireplace construction components.

That product mix matters. Masonry and related accessories can be relationship-driven categories where specification knowledge, contractor familiarity, and local delivery execution all influence market share. By acquiring assets rather than simply broadening greenfield operations, ABC Supply gains an established position in a defined product niche and local market without disrupting the customer-facing brand that already carries trust in South Texas.

What stays the same for customers and suppliers

ABC Supply said the business will continue operating under the Martini Brick Sales name. It will also retain its associates, while the company’s current leader will remain involved as a business development manager. That continuity is often the most important operational detail in distribution acquisitions because customer retention depends heavily on inside sales contacts, branch expertise, and field relationships.

In its release, ABC Supply framed the acquisition around preserving those ties rather than replacing them. The company said existing customers will continue working with their trusted contacts, with the added benefit of ABC Supply’s broader resources and support.

“Martini Brick Sales has earned the trust of contractors and builders in Corpus Christi through decades of expertise and strong customer relationships,” said Matt Belcher, Southwest Region vice president at ABC Supply.

That message aligns with a familiar best practice in distribution M&A: keep the branch identity, people, and daily service model intact while strengthening purchasing leverage, systems support, and operational depth behind the scenes. For suppliers, this kind of structure can also reduce transition risk because product knowledge and market coverage remain local even as the parent company adds scale.

Why this deal matters in wholesale distribution

The acquisition highlights several broader themes in industrial and construction-related distribution. First, scale buyers continue to seek category adjacency. ABC Supply is best known as a major wholesale distributor of roofing and select exterior and interior building products, so adding a masonry-focused operation fits a strategy of serving contractors across more of the building envelope and jobsite package.

Second, local specialization still commands value. Martini Brick Sales is not described as a broadline distributor; it is a targeted player in masonry cladding and associated components. In many distribution markets, that kind of focused expertise is difficult to replicate quickly because it depends on product application knowledge, builder relationships, and a reputation built over decades.

Third, the deal shows how acquirers are approaching growth in fragmented distribution categories:

  • Acquire trusted regional operators with durable customer relationships.
  • Preserve the acquired brand where it has local equity.
  • Retain experienced leadership and frontline employees.
  • Add back-office scale, resources, and cross-category support.

For independent distributors, the takeaway is clear: specialization, tenure, and customer trust remain strategic assets. For larger consolidators, the lesson is equally straightforward: the most effective transactions often protect local commercial identity instead of immediately absorbing it.

ABC Supply’s position and the supply chain angle

ABC Supply described itself in the announcement as the largest wholesale distributor of roofing and other select exterior and interior building products in North America, with more than 1,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada. Bringing Martini Brick Sales into that network could create practical supply chain advantages, even though the company did not disclose specific integration plans.

Those advantages may include stronger access to logistics resources, deeper inventory support, and greater resilience when serving contractors across multiple exterior product categories. In distribution, those capabilities matter most when paired with local product fluency. ABC Supply appears to be signaling that its objective is not to centralize the customer relationship, but to reinforce Martini Brick Sales’ market position with broader organizational support.

As Belcher said in the same statement, “Our goal is simple: continue delivering the service, expertise, and products customers rely on every day while providing additional resources and support to help the team serve the market even better.”

For the distribution sector, that combination of local continuity and scaled support is the core story. It is also why this asset acquisition matters beyond Corpus Christi: it reflects how strategic buyers are expanding in specialized building products while trying to keep the service model that made the acquired distributor valuable in the first place.
